Founded in 1990, Interstate Metal Inc. specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of brass, copper, aluminum, and lead free brass alloys. Our headquarters is located in Santa Fe Springs, California, where we serve a large customer base throughout North America.
Whether you choose to order by phone, fax, or internet, we are flexible enough to provide personalized services. Our large warehouse is ready for immediate pick up or shipping and our mill can manufacture custom orders. If you need technical advice, we are here to assist you.
Choosing Your Size and Shape
We specialize in a large variety of stock sizes and shapes. We offer brass products in bar, tubing, sheet, and coil. Available shapes include round, hexagonal, rectangle, square, and custom profiles. We also offer copper tubing. We have the ability to produce special custom shapes and sizes on request.
Lead Free Brass
Interstate Metal, Inc. leads the way in complying with the new green law AB 1953: ‘Lead Free’ means not more than 0.2 percent lead when used with respect to solder and flux and not more than a weighted average of 0.25 percent when used with respect to the wetted surfaces of pipes and pipe fittings, plumbing fittings, and fixtures.

Each staff member has a minimum of 10 years’ experience in our company. Interstate Metal is a manufacturer for the hardware industries serving North America.
Our Engineering Department
Our Engineering Department head and the Company President each have a degree in Mechanical Engineering. The company President has 25 years of mill experience and 30 years of copper experience. We can design directly from your blueprints. Our engineering department works with the most current CAD/CAM/CAE software technology for the utmost accuracy of design, engineering, and manufacturing.
Our Quality Department
Our Quality Department ensures that our products meet all required specifications. Our metrology laboratory works with the latest measure instruments including CMM, Optical Comparator, Spectrophotometer, Surface Profiler and others.
